What are my next steps should I require your service?

Contact the office by telephone, 07781 451122 or 01481 266490 or by email paula@connies-carers.com. We can then discuss your needs, forward our information onto you and arrange an assessment time that is convenient for you.

What if I need care urgently?

Emergency response situations are dealt with immediately and aim to provide care within less than 24 hours.

How do I pay for your service?

You will receive an invoice from us at the end of each month.

Are there any hidden costs?

No, our prices are transparent and are given to you upon request.

How long will my care last?

Your care will last for as long as you wish.

Will the carer look after my pets?

Yes, we understand the benefits that pets can have on our wellbeing. Your carer can walk your dog and feed your pets. As long as we know this is a requirement, we will ensure that you are matched with a carer who is happy to do this. Some carers are allergic to animals so we must know if pet care is required.

What sort of carers do you employ?

We pride ourselves on employing experienced, knowledgeable, caring, compassionate and kind carers.

What if I don’t like my care package or want to make changes?

Our experience tells us that people’s care needs very often change. We therefore understand that care plans may need reviewing from time to time. This is why we carry out reviews on a regular basis and why we welcome family members input.

Will I have the same carer each day?

This depends on how many visits you have each week. We very rarely have just one carer assigned to a particular customer, this allows for periods of time where they may be away on holiday or sickness, however we do try to keep the number of your carers to a minimum.

What tasks will my carer carry out?

We agree a ‘Care Plan’ and this then becomes the work list for each day. Click here for details of the care services we can provide. Care plans frequently evolve and we check them regularly to ensure that the care we are providing is appropriate.

What needs to be provided for the live-in carer?

A live-in carer would need to have their own bedroom with space to store their belongings, TV and access to Wi-Fi. The carer will often eat with the client, unless the client prefers to eat alone.

What about my personal security?

Every member of the Connies Carers team has been through a rigorous vetting procedure before they start working with us. In addition, all staff will be in uniform.
